Sector focused diversification
We work in the industries that matter to Botswana's economic transformation, which keeps the business useful when any one sector slows down.
Core Technology started here. The technology division builds the enterprise systems, security infrastructure and national platforms that Botswana's public and private institutions run on.
Core Technology (Pty) Ltd is a 100% citizen owned Botswana registered company, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Gaborone. It is registered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority and operates within the laws and development frameworks of Botswana.
The company was set up to become a homegrown leader in ICT and has grown into a recognised part of Botswana's digital economy, with services across a range of industries and public sector agencies. The work is built on integration, strategy, execution and support, and is carried out by engineers, developers, ICT consultants, cyber security specialists and infrastructure people.
Partnerships with globally recognised technology vendors let the unit put proven products in front of clients. Those relationships, together with a working knowledge of the local market and its regulatory environment, are what make the company a usable ICT partner for public and private institutions rather than a reseller.
To be the driving force behind Botswana's digital future. Secure, sustainable technology that empowers people, advances industries and lifts national development.
To deliver end to end technology that drives digital transformation, strengthens public sector capability and supports growth, inclusion and digital equity across the nation.
This is the unit the rest of the group grew out of. The fuel trading and healthcare arms were built on the same balance sheet and the same governance.
The strategy is built on innovation, inclusion and impact, and tied to national development goals rather than to whatever the market is buying this quarter.

We work in the industries that matter to Botswana's economic transformation, which keeps the business useful when any one sector slows down.
02
We would rather build the relationship than close the sale. That means understanding what the client is actually trying to fix, designing the solution with them, then staying on for support and optimisation afterwards, with honest reporting on how it is going.
03
Growth starts with people. We put money into local talent through internships, certification and continuous learning, build a team of globally certified professionals, and work with academic institutions on Botswana's ICT skills gap.
04
Alliances with major vendors give us early access to new technology, stronger implementation capability, competitive pricing and vendor certified training and support for the systems our clients depend on.
05
Research and product work aimed at Botswana's context: platforms that solve real local problems, and support for smart government, digital identity, border management and smart infrastructure. Localising global technology is what makes it land.
06
Growth stays answerable to environmental, social and governance standards. We promote green ICT, hire and train inclusively, and hold every project to ethical procurement and compliance requirements.
Plenty of firms can quote the same products. The difference shows up in whether the system still works once it meets a Botswana department, a Botswana budget cycle and a Botswana regulator.
“Whether the task is to implement complex enterprise solutions, to deploy critical national systems, or to support digitisation in underserved areas, we take pride in driving Botswana's digital transformation.”Core Technology
Systems that have to stay up.
Border posts, banking platforms and hospital records do not get a maintenance window. What we build is designed around that.
The service range covers the full spread of ICT need, from a single department's workflow through to systems that operate at a national border.
01ERP systems, custom software, CRM and HRM, built and then supported rather than handed over and left.
02Secure banking platforms, transaction monitoring and mobile financial services.
03Specialised ICT systems that strengthen national security and move people through a border more efficiently.
04Bespoke and off the shelf systems for immigration, national identity and records automation.
05Threat monitoring, security infrastructure, penetration testing and compliance work.
06CCTV, biometric access systems and perimeter defence, integrated with the rest of the estate.
07Secure LAN and WAN design and implementation, firewalls and VPN.
08Server, storage and end user device deployment, configuration, support and maintenance.
09Digital transformation advisory, IT governance and workflow automation.
10Sourcing and delivering IT hardware, software and accessories from global brands.
11VoIP, unified communications, structured cabling, and radio and satellite connectivity.
A technology company's responsibility runs past the systems it installs. The policy below is a working framework rather than a document, and it is aligned to Botswana's national development goals.

Vendor alliances bring certified training, support and licensing, which is what lets a Gaborone team stand behind enterprise-grade technology.
