かつてフィルムカメラの取扱説明書や広告に掲載された、あるひとつのジャンルの図像を一冊にまとめた作品集。カメラを傾け、両手で腰の前に構える。片目を閉じ、ファインダー越しに世界を見つめる。ストッキングの中に隠され、背中に忍ばされ、まるで探偵のように建物の角からひっそりと覗く。キヤノンやリコー、ペンタックス、コダックから、ライカやローライフレックスまで、1910年代〜1980年代までに配布・刊行された説明書や広告に掲載された、カメラを構える300種以上のイメージが収録されています。
