La Despensa Sangiovese 2023Vintage 2023 Size 75cl ABV 13. 5% Tasting Note Hand picked grapes. Open top bin fermentation with native yeasts. 14 days from picking to pressing, no extended maceration. Some fairly typical savoury notes of tomato and sour cherry, but counter balanced by the fruit forward nature of the style of wines we produce. Interestingly (to me anyway) the grapes are hand harvested before being foot trodden with the juice remaining in contact with the skins for a couple of days before spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks
