2023, Domaine d'Eugénie, ECHEZEAUX, Grand CruFrom a . 55 ha parcel in En Orveaux with vines planted in 1924 and 1979. A slightly riper nose is also exuberantly floral in character with notes of rose petal, violet and lavender adding elegance to the spicy blend of red currant and plum scents. There is both good volume and vibrancy to the utterly delicious medium bodied flavours that display good power on the firm, serious, compact and lightly austere finale. This is lovely and I particularly like

but Haut-Bailly has proved over and over again that it is capable of delivering over the long term
